SAIC has an immediate need for a Project Scheduling Analyst to support the MIPSS contract at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Space Center in Huntsville, AL. 

This senior-level scheduling position supports the Cryogenic Fluid Management (CFM) projects at MSFC. CFM technology is an integral part of exploration systems for Earth-to-Orbit Transportation, manned missions to the Moon and Mars, Planetary Exploration, and In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU). CFM also plays a key role in infrared and x-ray astronomy, biological sciences, and fundamental investigations into the origins of our universe. This position supports the management, planning, and integration of various CFM projects, including schedule development, analysis, and maintenance.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Distributes, manages, and coordinates technical schedules for large scale and medium scale programs to include Integrated Management Plans (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Conducts schedule analysis to ensure third party schedules are constructed with complete network logic, following Scheduling Best Practices.
  • Supports Program and Project life-cycle review, performs Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA), and provides guidance and recommendations to NASA Management
  • Provides expert guidance and implementation and management of integrate scheduling tools.
  • Provide integrated top-level milestone schedules for management presentations.
  • Support chart preparation and status updates for the team.

Qualifications

 

Required Education and Experience: 

 

  • B.S. degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 6 years’ experience is required; 10 years’ experience is preferred – or – M.S. degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 4 years’ experience is required; 8 years’ experience is preferred.

 

Required Skills: 

  • Experience with Microsoft (MS) Office products and MS Project schedule development software is required.
  • Hands-on experience developing detailed schedules and Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs) and performing critical path analysis.
  • Must be self-motivated and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of an organization.
  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Must have the ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.

 

Clearance:

 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

 

Travel (if any):

 

  • Some travel may be required – 1 trip every other month or so – once travel resumes.
