Job Description


We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer service oriented Change Management Specialist to join our team in Springfield, VA to begin an exciting and challenging career with SAIC. 

The Change Management (CM) Specialist will provide effective and adequate IT service to the solutions business and work with a team that will ensure business satisfaction in the Office of Information Technology (OIT) by identifying stakeholders, establishing relevant dialogues within business directorates, and supporting CM IT related activities/projects.

Change Management responsibilities:
1. Reviewing, administering and implementing CM processes and procedures
2. Performing QC for change requests
3. Developing and implementing plans/training to guide the IT organization to a mature Configuration process.
4. Ensures solutions and infrastructure changes are introduced in a controlled, yet efficient, manner.
5. Conducts research on IT Change Management process improvement.
6. Contribute to the organizations development, implementation, and maintenance of internal Configuration management policies, procedures and associated training plans.
7. Training user community on existing policies and procedures.

Service Delivery Management responsibilities:
1. Technically review CRs (Quality Control (QC) process) and analyze the implementation plans, approvals, coordination, attachments, & testing results
2. Serve as the primary point of contact for OIT customers for CM process including the creation of CRs and training on CM tools/CR preparation
3. Assist OIT with meeting facilitation, QC, POC tracking and any other activities needed to ensure satisfaction with the quality and delivery of infrastructure needs.
4. Coordination & facilitation of change control board (CCB) meetings to include preparation of CR package, action items & conditional approvals/denials as required and return CRs to requestor for update
5. Support Technical Review Board (TRB) for high severity CRs.
6. Provide reporting and metrics
7. Follow up on the required improvements / issues
8. Ongoing review, development, and update of process & procedure documentation to include training of the user community



• 2 years of experience and a B.S. degree. Bachelor of Science (BS) or equivalent education and experience
• 1-3 years of experience with change management and workflow creation utilizing CM tools such as Remedy and/or ServiceNow
• 1-3 years of experience with Process Improvement Methodology including defining and documenting workflow
• 1-3 years of experience related to service delivery management, including change management and configuration management• Proven ability to work closely with the business community as well as technical resources in a tactful manner


Desired Experience:
• Knowledge of version control and tools and processes
• ICAgile Certified Professional
• Knowledge of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies and disciplines
