JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAIC needs story tellers! We are looking for a Lead of Brand Strategy who will be part of a team of story tellers uncovering the power of our colleagues in what they do every day for our customers, employees and the communities we serve. SAIC seeks a Brand Strategist to develop, lead and execute the brand strategy for a Fortune 500 company that results in a world-class, measurable brand and shapes stakeholder perception and overall reputation.

You will shape the company’s brand expression and experience to help drive business growth into new channels, markets and products as well as monitor, safeguard, and strengthen the company’s reputation and assets. You must be able to quickly move between the creative and analytical as well as bring a strong working knowledge of public sector market competitors. This position will report to the Senior Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer and require working collaboratively with company leadership, business development, marketing and communications teams, the legal team, and other company administrative departments. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will:

  • Evolve the company’s brand expression—including strategic direction of a complete brand refresh—to create compelling customer and candidate experiences that amplify what the company wants to be known for.
  • Oversee key work streams in brand activation and experience, partnering with the broader marketing and communications team, company leaders, and the legal team to direct the brand architecture, positioning, and protection of new products, capabilities, and services.
  • Articulate the brand’s message architecture, and value proposition to employees, candidates, customers, and partners across the company’s owned, earned, paid, and shared properties.
  • Establish brand metrics and maintains a dashboard to regularly measure brand strength and reputation. Recommends strategies to shift perceptions in order to stay competitive.
  • Direct brand standards and governance, including people, processes, policies, and platforms.

 

 

Qualifications

  • 20+ years of exceptional functional experience in brand strategy, including Masterbrand management, brand positioning, visual identity, brand experiences, brand governance, brand measurement/marketing research and reputation shaping
  • Previous experience as a brand strategist for a Fortune 500 company
  • 10+ years of experience in B2G professional service branding
  • 10+ years of experience in creating, stewarding and evolving a collaborative, creative, high energy brand
  • Ability to work across the organization to facilitate the application of various approaches, frameworks, and methodologies and adapt to a highly collaborative culture and build relationship across diverse groups
  • Demonstrate ability to work cross-functionally to execute a brand strategy
  • Ability to understand the market, develop unique customer insights and translate them into detailed and concrete brand strategies
  • Advanced degree preferred - MBA, marketing, communications or related field

Target salary range: $165,001 - $175,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
