Description
SAIC is seeking a highly motivated Geospatial Engineer for a position in the Office of the GEOINT Chief Architect (OGCA). OGCA is responsible for exploring solutions for the GEOINT architecture. OGCA analyzes architectures to inform decision based on cost, risk and performance. OGCA collaborates with NRO Directorates and Offices, Mission Partners, Intelligence Community, and the Department of Defense. In conjunction with NGA through the GEOINT Futures Study Group, OGCA coordinates and conducts End-to-End capability studies and operates the GEOINT Collaboration Center (GCC) to collaborate architecturally across the GEOINT Enterprise, NGA, NRO, and the IC/DoD in solving complex problems through resident knowledge of phenomenology and systems, and gain insight into how products are being used while defining future capabilities.
The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering, engineering management, physics, or imaging/remote sensing and a background in space systems, platforms and/or technology necessary to provide advisory and assistance support to user engagements with NGA, the DoD, and the IC to facilitate interactions on studies and the various GCA efforts across the community. TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
