SAIC is currently seeking a Cyber Security Analyst with knowledge and experience in system administration supporting Army networks  at Rock Island, IL.  The candidate will have working knowledge and experience designing, testing, and implementing secure operating systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions.   Conducts risk and vulnerability assessment in the network, system and application level.  Conducts threat modeling exercises, Develops and implements security controls and formulates operational risk mitigations along with assisting in security awareness programs.  Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access.  Researches, evaluates and recommends new security tools, techniques, and technologies and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy.  Utilizes COTS/GOTS and custom tools and processes/procedures in order to scan, identify, contain, mitigate, remediate and makes recommendations on process tailoring.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
  • Experience and understanding of DoD Risk Management Framework required activities
  • Validate cybersecurity controls against anywhere from 200 to 1,000 different types of criteria, assuring systems meet an acceptable level of protection
  • Assist in the development/management of annual compliance exercises and requirements
  • Update/Maintain cybersecurity related plans and policy, such as the Incident Response Plan, Backup and Restoration Plan, Configuration Management Plan, Continuity of Operations Plan, and Interconnection Agreements
  • Perform Information Assurance Vulnerability Management for systems.  Experience with DoD cybersecurity management systems such as EITDR and eMASS.
  • CISSP required; or must be able to obtain within 6 months of hire date.
  • Bachelors degree and six years’ relevant experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Experience with DoD/AF/CNSS/RMF Policies such as DoDI 8510.01, NIST SP 800-37 and 800-53, CNSSI 1253.
  • Experience with the selection and tailoring of RMF security controls
