Job Description


SAIC is looking for a well-qualified Counterintelligence Policy Analyst to join an exciting program in Springfield, VA.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a willingness to learn and the ability to be an immediate contributor in a fast paced team environment.  Job responsibilities include conduction expert level counterintelligence (CI) research, analysis and fusion of traditional and non-traditional sources of information across multiple functional areas on threats to program office activities and personnel.  With minimal supervision, the analyst will fuse intelligence into a wide range of products including, but not limited to, executive summaries, memorandums, threat assessments, briefings, and other deliverables as tasked.  The analyst will work across issue-focused teams; participate in advisory groups; support counterintelligence investigations; provide training to senior security specialists; communicate complex issues and potential risks to senior decision makers; synthesize information derived from external sources/policies and apply it to the internal organizational framework; and perform threat analysis, forecasts and alerts, and recommend effective countermeasures.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Producing tactical and strategic-level analytical products in multiple formats;
  • Providing briefings to senior decision makers on CI-related matters;
  • Contributing to CI-related policies, procedures, and other foundational documents;
  • Conduct pre- and post-travel security briefings; and
  • Daily research pertaining to mission areas


Required Qualifications:

  • An active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for access to sensitive compartmented information (TS/SCI);
  • The ability to complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph (post hire);
  • Shall have 10 years experience providing CI and counterterrorism (CT) analysis and/or operations within the DoD and/or IC;
  • Shall have 5 years experience interpreting DoD and/or IC policies related to CI/CT disciplines;
  • Shall have 5 years experience assimilating, evaluating, and interpreting all-source information concerning foreign intelligence and terrorist threats against US persons, programs, information systems, and/or facilities;
  • Expert level knowledge of CI tradecraft and functional areas:  analysis and production, collections, operations, and investigations;
  • Working knowledge of the DoD Antiterrorism/Force Protection and OPSEC processes; and
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills required to prepare, articulate, and maintain CI analysis in support of classified senior government customers.

Desired Qualifications:

  • An active Top Secret clearance with access to SCI;
  • Bachelor's degree

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
