JOB DESCRIPTION: Position involves systems engineering, functional analysis of ATC/M system requirements, development, production, test and evaluation of related information systems. Includes, but not limited to, systems engineering activities oversight, demonstrated expertise with new and legacy systems, technical alternative analyses, acquisition management of information systems, and information management tools. The candidate will also need to provide site support, development, testing, documentation, risk assessment, evaluation, subject matter expertise, operations integration, and impact analysis to new systems that affect the National Airspace System (NAS).

The candidate must utilize all aspects of system engineering techniques to conduct studies and analyses in operational focus areas to include, but not limited to, Evolution of Traffic Flow Management (TFM), Time-Based Management (TBM) Operations with Advanced Rerouting, and Integration of New Entrants (e.g., Supersonics/Hypersonic, Balloons, High Altitude Long Endurance, Space Launch/Reentry Operations).

Qualifications

MINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Conduct technical analysis of emerging efforts to identify potential operational integration opportunities/challenges, potential improvement/impact to Air Traffic operations, linkage to validated operational needs, and alignment with FAA enterprise plans
• Conduct technical review of FAA enterprise plans to identify operational opportunities/challenges and required updates
• Prepare white papers, decision memos, and other documents to support the technical analyses/reviews of identified operational focus areas
• Support development of required Service Analysis and Strategic Planning (SASP) artifacts
• Support the development of corporate planning artifacts for selected operational focus areas
• Develop briefing packages, graphs, presentation materials, and other documents. This includes contacting personnel for input, providing drafts for review, scheduling dry runs, and preparing presentation materials as appropriate.
• Expertise with MS Office Suite

Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering or related Required. 

US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
