SAIC is seeking a Cyber Engineer. Candidate too architects, plans, configures, deploys, maintains, and upgrades COTS/GOTS and custom toolsets to address vulnerabilities and/or implement security controls. Applies a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture security policies and support full spectrum military cyberspace operations. Designs, tests, and implements secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, tuning and management of IT security systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, loss prevention, and eDiscovery actions.  Includes security control design and solution planning at the system, mission, and enterprise level, security-in-depth/defense-in-depth, and other related IAM/ISSO/ISSE support functions. Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. Researches and evaluates cyber capabilities and new security tools and products against operational requirements and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy, and to support the offensive and defensive capability design and troubleshoot and problem solve technical and non-technical issues. At the Leadership level this is senior technical staff dedicated to transforming customer environments into a more secure operating environment in a holistic manner. Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. Directs established guidelines, procedures and policies. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of the variety of factors.  

Responsibility

• Live in El Paso and travel to ACF or Viscount Site for work.
• Attend Daily Tag Up meeting and report status and daily activities with Operations Leads
• Number of programs for both the Air Force and Army
• Lead the development of the local Engineering EE power, tactical radio tasks and utilize Model Based Engineering Tools
• Support Engineering Review Boards presenting or reviewing designs
• Support Procurement and Logistics tasks for responsible programs

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, in Electrical Engineering / Physics and two (2) years of related experience; Master’s degree
• Experience with the following:
• Programming in C# , Python
• Databases Design, Implementation
• System Administration and Server H/W design /support
• General Networking and Wireless Networking
• General Computer hardware familiarization (HDD, RAM, processor, I\O ports, etc)
• Understanding of hardware flashing
• Understanding of exporting/importing configuration files
• General Audio\Video knowledge (connection types, I/O functionalities)

Clearance

• Active Secret clearance

• Proficiency in the following Digital Engineering Programs: Aras Minerva, DOORS Next, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Satellite TooKit-STK, ANSYS High Frequency Structure Simulation-HFSS, SolidWorks, ACAD
• Systems Engineering or Military Experience in the following areas:
  • Military C5ISR equipment usage, implementation, and integration into military and civilian platforms.
  • Experience with electrical engineering power both with AC, DC, battery and charging systems to include power designs for power generation (generators, alternators, solar, etc) both single and three phase support.
  • Experience with RF and wireless networking. Preferred experience in the military tactical radio and networking.
  • Internet of Things (IOT) and sensor both civilian and military network integration and implementation planning.
