JOB DESCRIPTION:  SAIC is seeking an experienced budget analyst / cost specialist to provide dedicated support to a classified customer front office team.  The candidate will be a self-starter who has experience assisting with spend plans and aligning funding pools to meet office mission priorities.  S/he will support the development and coordination of multi-faceted programs across the broader customer organization and Intelligence Community.  S/he will directly support the formulation, drafting, and review of budget program documentation including schedules and formal submissions for IC budget exercises and data calls.  The candidate will coordinate and support the annual strategic planning process to update the customer’s overall operating plan and create branch level plans that feed the program build.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Must have current TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field (four years of relevant experience may substitute in lieu of a degree) and 10+ years of experience.
  • Record of accomplishment supporting the customer on planning, governing, and operating complex programs.
  • Must have experience working closely with customers to identify and draft investment plans and justifications.
  • Must have knowledge of customer budget processes and timelines.
  • Must have knowledge of customer financial databases.
  • Must have expertise in the use of Excel for budget tracking, and advanced skills in other MS Office products.
  • Must have strong executive presence with successful experience supporting senior managers, including providing regular status updates and briefings.
