SAIC has an upcoming opening for a Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Network Technician/Customer Support position based in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.




Background.  The CENTCOM Partner Network (CPN) is a collaborative effort between Headquarters (HQ) United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) and its Gulf partners with the purpose of facilitating coordination, information sharing and capacity building to target activities that pose national security threats to the United States and its partner nations. 


The CSfC Network Technician shall provide support for day-to-day operations for the U.S. Department of the Treasury (USDT) Program in facilities located in Riyadh, KSA.  The requirement for continued support will be performed via a separate contract effort by USDT. The technicians will be based in or near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at locations determined by USDT.  Travel to multiple locations throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries is anticipated to provide support services for the CPN equipment described below. Contractor support personnel will maintain appropriate work and/or residency visas during the support period and will coordinate with USCENTCOM and USDT prior to travel.  The network supporting this effort is provided by HQ USCENTCOM, based at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL.  The CSfC Network Technician is responsible for operation and maintenance (O&M) of SecureView end user devices (EUDs) (laptops) in the Coordination Center villas in Riyadh, KSA as well as similar EUDs and secure desktop computers throughout the region; selected candidate will receive hands-on CSfC/SecureView training prior to commencing duties. Several devices in the U.S. embassies in the region will also require O&M of black/red routers and encryptors.  For physical security, safes will be provided for these locations. The candidate will provide 24 / 7 computer technical support to maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and restore network access and return EUD computer and information systems to an operational status, to include routers, switches, cryptographic encryptor devices, personal computers, thin/zero clients, laptops, and peripherals. This is a deployable and on-call position requiring travel to both Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS); as such, possession and maintenance of a current U.S. passport is required. The ultimate goal is to ensure data, voice, video, and communication requirements are correctly provisioned and operational to support assured communication between US and Coalition members at the locations noted above as well as USDT personnel located in Washington, DC and HQ USCENTCOM. 





  • Under minimal supervision, install, troubleshoot, repair, operate, and maintain CSfC infrastructure devices (routers, domain controllers, certificate servers, wireless access points, Virtual Private Network (VPN) devices, etc.) and EUD devices (computers, workstations, laptops, thin clients, printers, scanners) and any other equipment within the scope of this task on the CPN network. 
  • Provide 24/7 functional and security administration for all encryption endpoints. Ensure all endpoints maintain approved cyber security posture to include latest security software patches and updates (Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs)/Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), hotfixes, etc.).
  • Under minimal supervision provide front line support to end users to include interacting with network services, Information Assurance (IA), software systems engineering and asset management to restore service and/or identify core problems.
  • Provide on-site technical support by performing installation, repair, and preventative O&M of workstations and related software/hardware.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware failures and apply domain specific knowledge to return equipment to operational status within agreed upon Command, Control, Communications, and Computers Enterprise Support (C4ES) Service Level Agreement (SLA) parameters.
  • Maintain equipment and cable infrastructure (CAT- 5/6, fiber optics) to include installation and labeling in accordance with USCENTCOM developed policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform system and data backups on USCENTCOM systems and servers IAW USCENTCOM back-up policies.
  • Interact daily with supervisor, peer groups and customers in order to manage work flow in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with local internet service providers and Department of State cabling and network personnel as needed to troubleshoot transport issues on USDT-leased circuits
  • Responsible for removal and proper disposal of old equipment and data deemed classified.
  • Operational requirements dictate 24/7 support; work will not be limited to week days.
  • Responsible for documenting, upgrading and replacing hardware and software systems.
  • Maintain, monitor, control and log all security functions for the certificate authority (CA).
  • Support and maintain user account information including administration rights, security and system groups; maintain Certificate Revocation List (CRL) and review, manage and maintain security audit logs and report alerts to appropriate authority levels.
  • Responsible for implementing fixes and patches through various means such as registry edits, patch installation, Active Directory Security Policy configuration and various application testing.
  • Enforce USCENTCOM Regulation (CCR) 380-8 regarding cybersecurity requirements (e.g., use of personal electronic devices).
  • Provide physical security expertise to establish security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); oversee daily operations of the Coordination Center with regard to access, personnel and sensitive equipment.
  • Develop security mitigation measures and procedures for the safeguarding of classified information and sensitive equipment during daily operations.
  • Ensure sensitive equipment is properly secured during daily operations and properly stored when the facility is not in use.
  • The Contractor shall utilize remote communications (e.g., electronic mail, telephone, admin tools) as well as site visits to accomplish this task.
  • Provide introductory user-based training and assistance on USCENTCOM equipment (within the scope of this task) to all personnel requiring access to CPN.  Training materials and “train-the-trainer” engagements will be provided by USCENTCOM for support personnel to execute on behalf of USDT.
  • Visit on a regular basis all sites where CPN networks and equipment are installed and provide maintenance, support, and recommendations where necessary.
  • Periodic inventory of equipment shall be provided to USCENTCOM CCJ6 upon request.



  • Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance is required. Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or 5+ years of Network/Systems Administration experience; OR, High School equivalent and 9+ years of experience.
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II certification is required and satisfied by holding CompTIA Security+ (SY0-301) certification or higher certification
  • Passport; position will be required to travel throughout USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
  • Strong network, secure communications development and support and Communications Security (COMSEC) background (secure and often mobile communications over IP-based networks).
  • Extensive experience with troubleshooting Microsoft OS (Windows 10), Windows Server 2012/2016, Active Directory, VMWare virtual servers, Cisco networking (routers and switches), Microsoft Office suite and associated productivity tools.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and managing cryptographic encryptor (KG-175F) devices, simple key loaders (SKLs), secure mobile device management and communications to include Intrusion Detection Systems, Certificate Authority, firewalls and VPNs. 
  • Familiarity with network configuration of COMSEC devices supporting the CPN network to include Tier 1 troubleshooting of COMSEC devices is required.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and non-standard hours when needed; mission focused.





  • Knowledge of Linux commands, folder structure, and Linux networking, to include firewall commands and SELinux.
  • Self-motivated, creative, willing to work as a member of a team, organized and able to manage individual schedules. 
  • Strong networking, security and networking/client-server applications experience, specifically in an enterprise environment and in applying security measures to standard configurations; strong Communications Security (COMSEC) experience preferred.
  • Desired certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate, Microsoft Certified Professional (Windows 10, End User Applications, and Active Directory), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3.
  • Knowledge of DoD IA policies, directives and procedures to include Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) application and compliance.
  • Remedy Help Desk, Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN) troubleshooting, thorough understanding of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) based networking.
  • Must be competent to work as part of a team on all phases of customer support to include physical activities such as moving printers, workstations, scanners and other items.
  • Experience with image/load set deployment in an enterprise environment (Norton Ghostcast, Preboot Execution Environment (PXE), image cloning).
  • Recommend possession of a valid international driver's license.
  • Prior military or tactical communications experience is preferred, but not required.
