Description
SAIC is seeking experienced professionals to join the National Security Group (NSG). NSG provides specialized program management, engineering, analysis and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. We support the generation after next of national security-related systems based in space, in the air and on the ground.
NSG has an opening for a Senior Requirements Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The customer is developing next-generation of space and ground systems architectures, hardware and software solutions.
The Senior Requirements Engineer leads the Program Office in the writing/decomposing, configuration management and verification of all Program requirements. The Senior Requirements Engineer is supported by a team of mission-related subject matter experts (SMEs) responsible for writing functional and performance requirements for their technical capability area. The Senior Requirements Engineer is responsible for:
• Planning, organizing, facilitating, and training SMEs to author, decompose, and trace requirements for their respective technical capability areas
• Reviewing and editing requirements to ensure conformance to requirements best practices
• Configuration management of the Program Office’s requirements baselines in the Program Offices requirements repository
• Representing the Program Office in IC customer system engineering discussions related to requirements decomposition and traceability
Qualifications
Qualifications
• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Exceptional communication and coordination skills
• Expert in development and decomposition of requirements from strategic to development levels
• Experience supporting acquisition office responsible for acquiring satellite ground systems
• Working knowledge of the customer’s system engineering Request for Change (RFC) process
• Experience using DOORS to manage requirements
• Ability to quickly respond to employee queries and needs
• Demonstrated experience in communications and enabling skills that help others succeed
Desired Qualifications:
• Expertise in customer’s mission capabilities with past experience within the IC
• Expertise in IC System Engineering processes
• Familiarity with Agile Development to include participation in scrums, development of solution epics, lean business cases, program epics, user stories, and features
• Expert in developing Executive-level briefings
• Working knowledge of DoDAF architecture development
• Working knowledge of orbital mechanics and space situational awareness
