SAIC has an immediate and funded opening for a solid Tier 2 or mid-level Tier 3 Windows Systems Administrator.  The Sys Admin must possess the knowledge and skills to take lead on the creation of Windows based servers and workstations.  Candidate will work on both bare metal and virtual servers.  Work will include systems design, building, and configuration to work within existing large data infrastructure.  Systems will have to support the custom designed software and scripts.  Once built and deployed, candidate will hand off routine O&M activates to a separate team.

Qualifications

• Current TS/SCI & Poly Required
• A minimum of 9 years of relevant technical experience
• 3+ years of recent experience with creation and distribution of Windows based images (server, workstation) using tools such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Hashicorp Packer, or Ansible
• 3+ years of experience with managing Microsoft Administrative tools, such as Active Directory Users and Computers, Microsoft DNS, Microsoft DHCP, etc
• 3+ years of demonstrated ability to create and implement Microsoft Group Policies with a focus on system hardening and best-practice security design
• 2+ years of experience with configuring appropriate logging using Sysmon, Windows Event Management
• 2+ years of experience writing, modifying, and interpreting PowerShell scripts
• 2+ years of experience building and deploying servers in a virtual environment, to include specifically VMware vSphere and VMware Workstation/Player
• 2+ years of experience documenting “As-Is” and “To-Be” system builds and capture architecture and work flows in systems/network drawing
• Ability to think critically and exhibit strong problem-solving skills
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule that may include nights, weekends or holidays as required

• Knowledge of Python
• Automation knowledge of Hashicorp’s Terraform
• Demonstrated Linux command line knowledge
