SAIC has an immediate opening for a Principal Windows Systems Administrator in Cary, NC.

Note:  This role supports Army National Guard Enterprise Operations and offers temporary work from home/ remote/ virtual work as part of a virtual team due to COVID-19.   Eventually the work will go back on site 100% in Cary, NC once the COVID-19 threat has passed.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining physical/virtual Microsoft based servers in support of business processing requirements. 
• Install, configure, and administer Service applications including, but not limited to:
  • MS System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM / MECM)
• Installs, upgrades, and patches operating systems and complex software packages.   
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS Services
• Create, execute and report on testing and implementation plans.
• Create, execute and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for Enterprise Services
• Schedules installations and upgrades in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. 
• Conducts routine software audits of Microsoft based servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines. 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• HS/GED and 13 years of related experience OR Bachelors and 9 years of experience; OR Masters and 7 years or more experience
• IAT II or III (Security+) prior to start date
• Must be a US Citizen and have an active DOD SECRET security clearance
• 5+ years of Windows SCCM experience
• Experience maintaining Microsoft’s Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS services
• Experience maintaining Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 platforms
• Must be a self-starter; capable of working independently, under limited direction, and in a team environment.
• Capable of resolving complex issues
• Strong troubleshoot and debugging skills
• Must be able to obtain a ITIL Foundation Certification within 60 days of start date
