SAIC is looking for a MBSE Systems Engineer - Hardware in San Diego, CA who is seeking a challenge and eager to learn and grow supporting our DOD acquisition community. This position assists with the implementation of SE functions and tasks that support various Programs of Record within the Program Executive Office; Command, Control, Computers, Communications, and Intelligence (PEO C4I) and part of the NAVWAR Team. Work proficiently on technical problems and provide solutions which are innovative and ingenious while conducting SE activities based on sound engineering practices.
Elicit and refine customer requirements that ensures designs fully support requirements and are consistent with customer budget, schedule, risk profile and organizational/system constraints. Specifically the tasks include hardware requirements for CPU/GPU that use AMD or Intel products.
May perform any of the following SE activities: Concept of Operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecture, analysis and/or design, validation and verification, systems integration, system & operational performance analysis, life-cycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA), functional analysis and requirements allocation for hardware engineering specifications.
Provide information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Demonstrate application of technical principles and concepts and contribute to their development. Ability to recommend/make decisions on project work matters and ensure effective achievement of program, project, and organizational objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
Knowledge and understanding of PEO C4I, NAVWAR, and/or DOD Systems, Programs, and Projects
One or more of the following certifications: DAWIA, PMP, INCOSE, Agile/DevOps/SecDevOps
Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), requirements development/validation and concept of operations formulation
DOORS or other requirements management tool
Magic Draw or other System Architecture Visualization Tools
Office applications to produce presentations, documentation, and schedules
