Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
SAIC is looking for a cleared Systems Engineer- Hardware Installations in San Diego, CA who is also experienced in supporting DoD Acquistion and Navy Sites and Programs of Record (PoR). This position will support the Installation and CM Teams providing hardware installation support and managing DoD processes within NAVWAR and NIWC for a Navy Acquisition Program Office and Project.
Job Task include but not limited to:
Enterprise Change Requests (ECR) / Ship Change Documentation (SCD) for Hardware Installations
Service Request Forms (SRF) for Application Integration / System Integration Tests (AI/SIT)
Ensure compliance with Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) policies, processes, and guidance for Programs and Projects
Review and manage hardware engineering changes
Coordinate with NIWC ISEA and Program Office CM and Installation Teams. Establish relationships across functional areas and work closely with SCD developer for engineering change and SCD alignment.
Participate, as required, in the following: PMW CCB, NIWC PTRB, System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), and Process Improvements efforts
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. 4 Additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
Active TS/SCI
Knowledge of PEO C4I and NAVWAR enterprise processes, policies and tools including CMPRO, SPIDER, and NDE
Ability to work with and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders, government technical representatives, and other supporting contractors; excellent written and oral communications; ability to work independently or in a team collaborative environment; ability to brief senior government personnel.
Desired Skills and Certifications: Experience with and demonstrated understanding of the DOD acquisition process. Certifications or Completed Courses of Instruction in CM and PM from DAU or other institution.
