SAIC is seeking a Senior Android Developer to support the THS (Target Handoff System) team. Seeking someone who is passionate about mobile platforms and mobile development. They will be working with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation mobile applications for the United States Marine Corps. This position sits in Huntsville, Alabama.
The application will support a handheld ground fires / close air, Program of Record, software suite designed to make it easier for the marine to do their job effectively and reduce human errors.
Responsibilities Include:

Architect, Design, and build advanced applications for the Android platform

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design, and new features

Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and functionality

Perform code reviews to be the first line of defense and improve product quality

Work on bug fixing and improving application performance

Team mentorship and technical lead

Work as an agile team member on a Scrum team
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 14+ years’ relevant experience; Masters degree and 12+ years of experience. 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO OBTAIN A SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE
Required Skills:
- Able to demonstrate knowledge in software development
- Working knowledge of .NET development
- Understanding of the full development lifecycle
- Java, C#, C++ and Object Oriented Development
- Candidates must also have a working knowledge of all software development processes and documentation.
