Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to provide executive level management and analytical support to the DTRA Director and Chief of Staff. This is an exciting position that requires close interaction with top Agency leadership within DTRA, the Pentagon and across the Department of Defense (DoD). Specifically, the Senior Executive Assistant helps our customers plan and track travel, budgets, and reporting; manage EIS taskers; and assist with other administrative duties such as meetings, schedules and workflow.


Job duties include

  • Assist government personnel with domestic and international travel to accomplish mission requirements efficiently using the Defense Travel System (DTS) in compliance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). Candidate will be responsible for DTS travel entry, coordination, and reconciliation.
  • Track and analyze office workflow tasks using the Enterprise Information System (EIS) tasking system (NIPR/SIPR).
  • Provide office management support including correspondence development.
  • Facilitate strategic engagement planning and visit request.
  • Manage executive schedules and de-conflict events.
  • Manage civilian timekeeping


Education & Experience

  • Bachelors and approximately seven (7) years of experience.
  • Specialized experience including military or industry executive assistant experience may be substituted in lieu of specific educational requirements
  • Strong problem identification/resolution skills, flexibility, initiative, and proven ability to communicate and work with Senior Executives efficiently and effectively (to include experience interfacing/communicating with Senior Executive leadership in government or industry.
  • Strong familiarity with EIS and DTS.
  • Excellent computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience writing and editing memos and correspondence.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.         


  • Active Secret, able obtain Top Secret 

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong understanding and experience with Enterprise Information System (EIS) and  Defense Travel Service.
