SAIC is seeking an Electronics Technician Maintenance III to support the USMC in Camp Pendleton, California.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

The Electronics Technician, Maintenance maintains, repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, sonar, and navigational aids); personal and main frame computers and terminals, industrial, medical, measuring, and controlling equipment; and industrial robotic devices. The successful incumbent applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skill in restoring equipment operation, evaluates performance and reliability of prototype or production mode, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. The Electronics Technician Maintenance III applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering; changes. Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. This position may provide technical guidance to lower level technicians.

JOB DUTIES:

• To provide customer support on Camp Pendleton to the United States Marine Corps with the Joint Blue Force Command and Control Situational Awareness (JBFC2SA) Systems on multiple vehicle platforms (system previously known as JBC-P/Blue Force Tracker). Support will include the following vehicle platforms: MTVR, LVSR, AAV, HMMWV, JLTV, ABV, LAV, M1A Abrams or any other requested platform in inventory In Accordance With (IAW) supplied Modification Instruction or Technical Instruction manuals (MI/TI).   
• This will include Unit support with equipment installation, troubleshooting and Over the Shoulder Training when requested.
• Other duty requirements will include providing weekly written Situational Reports (Sitreps) back to home station Charleston, SC, provide local Help Desk Support, conduct unit Health Assessments, and log all daily actions.
• The position may also require travel to support unit exercises to CONUS/OCONUS locations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:  

• High School diploma or GED. Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program.
• Eight (8) years of practical experience, to include: Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Installation and Checkout. Two (2) years of experience, to include: supervision, and shop practices. Three (3) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair and installation, and six (6) years of experience with the C4ISR projects (e.g. Command Operations Center (COC), Global Combat Support System (GCCS), Joint Blue Force Command and Control Situational Awareness (JBFC2SA), Digital Technical Control (DTC)). Note: Experience may be concurrent.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess an active Full DOD Secret Security Clearance.
