Job Description


SAIC is looking for a Manager, Talent Acquisition in Chantilly Virginia.  The Manager will lead a team of 10+ recruiters and is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to ensure that the Talent Acquisition strategies align to program/capture strategies as well as SAIC’s ongoing business objective.  The Manager will be an authority in the area of Talent Acquisition within the intelligence community bringing strong knowledge of labor market trends, process improvement, and competitive intelligence.  Travel within the DC metro area may be required.  This individual will report directly to the Director, Talent Acquisition in our National Security Sector (NSS).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide Talent Acquisition expertise to SAIC’s NSS National Intelligence Community (NIC) Operation leaders.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to the recruiting team, taking deliberate actions that promote and enhance recruiter engagement and connection to the Talent Acquisition team and SAIC.
  • Partner with Operation leaders, Human Resources, and recruiters to meet strategic objectives around acquiring and retaining top talent:
    • Proactive Talent Acquisition strategies and staffing plans
    • Ensuring requisitions represent requirements needed to recruit and attract the right talent
    • Optimizing the candidate experience
  • Attend NIC leadership meetings, to include participation in key capture meetings, as applicable.
  • Assist the team in building/developing recruiting strategies to proactively attract and retain the best and brightest talent for all openings.
  • Build and sustain a quality relationship with the internal customers.
  • Understand and monitor recruiter performance against metrics.
  • Accurately monitor applicant tracking system/reports to ensure focus and priorities are maintained.
  • Comply with government, HR law, policies and procedures as well as Talent Acquisition processes as defined by the corporation.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of experience
  • MUST HAVE experience recruiting in the national intelligence community
  • 3+ years building and managing a high performance recruiting team
  • Must have strong organizational/communication skills and demonstrated experience with creative sourcing strategies, pipeline development, demand forecasting, and effective negotiation skills
  • Adept at identifying and implementing the strategies that focus on how we can best attract new talent.
  • Must be result oriented with a proven track record working in a fast paces, complex, and deadline oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management while establishing trust and credibility
  • Able to work under pressure, multi-task and deliver on multiple priorities
  • Experience with large enterprise ATS systems a must.  TALEO preferred.
  • Must have extensive experience recruiting for highly cleared candidates in INTEL and DOD arena.
