Description

The Email Operations Engineer will partner across the organization's operations teams' various hybrid environments to monitor and address all areas regarding collaboration and messaging tools. Specifically, the Messaging Operations Engineer will monitor incidents, requests, maintenance, scheduling, and escalations of messaging and collaboration applications and will strategize with vendors and with internal teams at the divisions to prevent incidents and ensure customer satisfaction.


This is a 100% Remote / Work from home role. 

 
Responsibilities of the Messaging Operations Engineer
  • Provide Email Engineering support through an integrated set of methodologies and products to enhance the operations of hardware and software systems to include the collection and analysis the email systems information, diagnosis of problems, and development of recommendations to resolve problems.
  • Establish and maintain new and existing Email systems and their associated software configuration baseline data and documentation.
  • Conduct redesign activities that modify functionality and/or produce technical improvements to enhance software and security.
  • Monitor system execution and performance; track and report change requests and discrepancy reports; perform problem analysis and resolution; and provide technical assistance to the end-user.
  • Perform production control activities such as the support of cyclical changes to operational workloads, compression, data restores, reorganization of files, recovery of systems, production of reports, download/upload of information, and setup and verification of fields and programs for the execution of production runs.
  • Improving the sustainability and performance of all email and collaboration environments
  • Providing Tier III support escalation as a final point of contact to the Service Desk and resolving problems within established practices and timeframes
  • Updating knowledge and technical skills by participating in educational opportunities such as training classes, reading professional blogs and forums, relevant social media, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Completed bachelor's degree (or +3 years of experience in place of degree) -
  • 3-5 years managing Microsoft Office365 Exchange and Windows Server operating systems with management experience
  • 0-1 years managing cloud collaboration tools, specifically Microsoft Office 365, specifically experience with Exchange administration
  • Exposure to VMware
  • Exposure to Cisco IronPorts and F5.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to pass and maintain a Public Trust 6
