SAIC is seeking a Maneuver Battle Lab Operstaions Specialist to support efforts at Frot Benning, GA. Under the supervision of the Maneuver Battle Lab (MBL) Program Manager and SAIC’s MBL Operations Officer, the candidate will support live Soldier experimentation. Major duties include coordination for land, ranges and airspace, managing the MBL ammunition account, managing the MBL account for Fort Benning training support, and liaison with the Fort Benning Safety Office. Duties include:

• Manage the MBL’s Range Facility Management Support System account. Assist project officers by requesting land, ranges, and airspace. Liaison with the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) Range Operations office to support MBL live experimentation at Fort Benning.
• Manage the MBL’s Total Ammunition Management Information System account.  Assist project officers with forecasting ammunition for experiments, submitting draw requests, drawing ammunition, turn in and reconciliation of documents. The candidate will work closely with MBL Ammunition Handlers, and will obtain credentials to draw ammunition from the Fort Benning Ammunition Supply Point if called upon to do so.
• Manage the MBL’s Enterprise Scheduling Capabilities account. Assist MBL project officers with requests for classrooms, medic support, combat vehicles, training aids, and Fort Benning weapons.  
• Serve as the MBL liaison to the MCoE Safety Office.

• As required, support the MBL Headquarters section with administrative duties.  

Qualifications

Education: BS/BA degree and 3 years of Army experience (4 years equivalent expereince accpeted in lieu of degree)

Skills and qualifications: The candidate must be able to read a military map and be familiar with military radio communication protocols. Must be able to drive box trucks and maintain on post driving privileges. Must be able to draw ammunition from the Fort Benning Ammunition Supply Point and transport ammunition on post, including obtaining a commercial driver’s license. Candidate must be able to use Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Must be able to obtain a secret clearance. Candidate must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions at Fort Benning and perform labor including sand bagging, lifting, walking in wooded terrain during daylight and darkness. Must be willing to work modified schedules and occasional overtime. Typical travel will be less than two weeks per year, but could be up to 6 weeks.
