SAIC has an opening for a Launch Program Budget Analyst who possesses a working knowledge of government budgeting and financial processes in order to provide expert advice and technical evaluations for complex and critical launch systems and processes. The selected candidate develops briefings and assessments to a variety of audiences and must be able to convey budgetary information in a clear and articulate manner to Government leadership. They will support strategic planning as well as cradle to grave launch and launch support activities. This role navigates challenges associated with multiple launch service providers and appropriate separation of proprietary information while maintaining integrated focus in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
 

Specific duties include:

• Provide program management, budgetary and financial services and products
• Support development and maintainenance of requirements database by appropriation for engineering projects
• Support current appropriation/fiscal year spend plans including forecasts and execution plan and track and report deviations
• Provide support as required for planning, programming, budgeting, and financial oversight for customer requirements
• Provide analysis and rationale of obligation and expenditures data as necessary
• Review all CFSR and financial data for all contracted projects 
• Perform launch cost modeling, launch vehicle cost requirements database refinement and maintenance, and launch vehicle “quick reaction” scenarios studies

Qualifications

Required qualifications to include:

• Bachelors degree
• Government customer/client experience
• 3-5 years Government budget or related experience
• Ideally, 2 or more years space launch experience

Preferred qualifications:

• Working knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle requirements
• Strong communication and coordination skills necessary
• Understanding of handling sensitive information with discretion
• Desktop software skills to include spreadsheet, briefing, and database development and reporting

Security Clearance:

• Active and current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required
