Leads the DOT/FAA Engineering teams as the Chief Engineer. Provides strategies and inputs to captures and proposals. Performs Engineering activities related to Information Technology or Engineering including: concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, and determination of processes to be proposed/followed to best fit into the National Airspace System. Ensures that systems solutions acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Provides strategies for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Works with program managers to define and present ideas for on contract growth. Mentors and educates more junior engineers in engineering processes and the design of the National Airspace System.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Must have experience as a chief engineer supporting the FAA, with a minimum of 20 years of experience. Must have experience leading engineering on FAA programs and providing key engineering inputs to captures and proposals for the FAA.
