SAIC is looking for a Principal Systems Administrator to join the NASA EAST Program. This is a remote role. The EDP System Administrator will become the technical expert in administering NASA’s EDP development environment tool suite. Requirements include being comfortable with code, complex data sources, technical nuances of software/ hardware and architectural implications. You will be the system administrator for Alteryx Server, Alteryx Connect, Tableau Server, and Sinequa within the development environment, and will receive training as necessary. You must work well with a team. You must also be familiar with NASA’s security plans and architecture for Amazon Web Service environments.
Job Duties:
- Assist development team in delivering on the technical requirements and success criteria for NASA customers by working with the customer and with the team’s EDP tools (Sinequa, Alteryx, Tableau) and other technologies to meet customer’s needs.
- Give presentations and answer detailed questions on the technical aspects of Sinequa, Alteryx, and Tableau – architecture, operation, and capabilities.
- Assist team in delivering capabilities using the Sinequa, Alteryx, or Tableau platforms including connecting to new data sources, and optimizing workflow and dashboard performance to best present results to NASA workers and NASA customers.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
- 4 years of additional experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Required Experience:
- At least 5 years’ experience with system administration
- Experience in using/developing complex enterprise platforms and architectures within Amazon Web Services
- Deep understanding of the Microsoft Windows operating system and high proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Experience working in technical areas
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (CS/IS/IT, engineering)
Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Active NASA badge with Administrative privileges
- Having or pursuing Master’s degree in a technical field (CS/IS/IT, engineering)
- Experience with server administration of a core EDP tool (Tableau, Alteryx, Sinequa)
- Experience with search and search platforms
- Experience with analytics, business intelligence, or data science (Power BI, Tableau a plus)
- Experience with unstructured data (NLP, text processing)
- Experience or formal training in databases and structured data (SQL SVR, Oracle, Snowflake)
