Description
SAIC is seeking an innovative Senior Sensor Scientist to lead advanced NVESD R&D initiatives as it relates to the design, oversight, assessment and employment of sensor architectures through software applications for all tactical environments and end user applications.
This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located at Ft. Belvoir, VA
Candidate will define specifications for new products and projects in conjunction with industry and technical government specialists. Candidate must have experience with a broad range of specialized sensors (thermal, optical, RF/Microwave, acoustic, etc..), current force and emerging tactical networks, Common Operation Pictures (COPS), mounted and dismounted power solutions, and efficient delivery of sensor data using efficient data transmission techniques. Candidate will support the Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) Special Products and Prototyping Division (SSPD) and its mission to develop, prototype, evaluate and provide worldwide field support of advanced R&D and specialized sensors for NVESD and other agencies.
