SAIC is seeking a Program Outreach Engineer responsible for engagement across the Intelligence Community to implement new capabilities and help drive changes to IC tradecraft. The successful candidate will:
Provide training, exercise, and operational support to IC partners by identifying customer technical capabilities that contribute to end users’ success.
Provide strategic planning and senior staff support, including strategic and operational engagement coordination.
Execute customer strategic messaging, user needs tracking, senior leaders’ direction
Capture user needs and formulates them into executable requirements within a systems engineering/ agile construct
Monitor customer relationships identifying new methods of utilizing cutting edge capability
This position is located in Chantilly, VA.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of education
BS in engineering, physics or related technical degree with the following experience in space/ground aerospace systems engineering (based on level)
Possess strong understanding of GEOINT tasking, collection, processing, exploitation, and dissemination (TCPED)
Demonstrated performance working in a high visibility position that requires self-motivation; strong technical and leadership background;
Professional and tactful under pressure; effective negotiation with diplomatic skills
Must have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, for coordinated communications with organizations and representatives throughout the IC and DOD, including senior military and government civilian personnel
MS in engineering, physics or related technical degree
Knowledge of GEOINT remote sensing systems and overall space and ground architecture including mission control and/or mission processing functions
Experienced collection manager or military intelligence professional
