Description

SAIC is seeking a Cyber Security/Forensic Analyst to join a collaborative, dynamic team in a mission-focused environment.  You will support the analysis, security threats and development tactics, techniques and processes to mitigate potential security concerns. You should have detailed knowledge of how the internet works, interactions between browsers and websites, digital footprints, commercial messaging applications and their capabilities, adversary tactics, and trends. You will also be asked to provide subject matter expertise to training, collaborate with instructional designers, and present training content.  You should also possess the ability to work as part of a dynamic team and thrives when learning new technologies.


Qualifications

  • Current TS/SCI with Poly
  • 15+ years documented work history in an Information Technology or related analyst position
  • Strong understanding of how the internet works
  • Strong understanding of how browsers interact with websites
  • Strong understanding of VPS, VPN, and VPC
  • Strong understanding of encryption
  • Additionally, the candidate should have documented experience in some (not all) of the following topics:
    • Management of Virtual Machines/Environments, Virtual Box
    • Forensics (Computer, Network or Memory)
    • Understanding of Commercial Messaging Applications and their Capabilities
    • Use of tools such as Wireshark, Network Miner, Burp Suite, Encase, Guidance Software, PGP, GPG
    • Windows System Administration and/or Linux Systems Administration
    • Cloud-based infrastructure
    • Linux, Android, Windows and/or OS X Internals
    • Strong understanding of operations
  • Ability to communication complex technical topics to a non-technical audience and present technical topics in a training environment.
  • Ability to document technical topics and procedures for training use (content, lesson plans, assessments) in a professional manner
  • Willing to travel 2-3 weeks, two or three times a year
