SAIC is currently seeking a Systems/ Network Administrator supporting the MMC program located in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate should have a thorough knowledge of network architecture, design, implementation, and support. The candidate must be capable of working in both a team environment on enterprise projects and be capable of working independently to resolve technical issues.

The COEv3 MMC system is being developed by the Army, with SAIC as the Prime Contractor, as a direct replacement for the currently fielded Joint Battle Command Platform (JBC-P) system.  It will be a state of the art battle command information system that provides integrated, on-the-move, timely, relevant Command and Control / Situational Awareness (C2/SA) information to tactical combat, combat support and combat service support commanders, leaders, and key C2 nodes.

Responsibilities: 

• Install, configure and maintain LAN and WAN system hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
• Design, maintain and document network solutions
• Secure networks by developing network access controls and policies that align with DISA STIGs
• Ensure system security in compliance with Army and customer policies
• Understand network security devices and their output
• Ensure reliable backup and recovery from circuit and hardware outages
• Apply firmware and software patches as required to hardware
• Perform other hardware and software tasks as assigned
• Maintain all support documentation

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience; 4 years of experience can be used in lieu of a degree.

Clearance: Must have a minimum of an Interim Secret Clearance to start with the ability to obtain & maintain a full Secret Clearance; Active Secret Clearance preferred

Required Skills:

• Prior experience with LAN and WAN hardware 
• Experience documenting network solutions
• Knowledge about network security devices 

Certifications:

• CCNP certification
• Minimum DoD 8570 IAT II certification
