SAIC is seeking a Cyber Senior Data Scientist with an active TS/SCI Polygraph to work onsite with our customer at Ft. Meade, MD.
This position is in support of future work associated with MARFORCYBER. This role is contingent upon award in the Spring of 2021. #CyberWarrior
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the development of advanced analytic techniques for security trend analysis.
- Identify opportunities to further enhance cyber security by using advance security analytic techniques to identify and preempt threats utilizing social, behavioral, and geopolitical information, with Predictive and Prescriptive analytics.
- Define and facilitate the process of onboarding new systems into a security analytic portfolio.
- Define models that describe appropriate and inappropriate use of information systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation including design architecture, data flow diagrams, and data management plan.
- Support the creation of standard analytic dashboards which will be used by intelligence and operational teams.
- Perform application development, including scripting, and integration with other applications
- Perform requirements gathering from historical information and insight gained from Big Data Analytics processes.
- Provide programming support of Big Data Analytics activities including custom algorithm development.
- Work with information security personnel and application development teams to define and implement standards for access and activity logging to support operations and security analytics practices
Qualifications
Required Experience and Education:
- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; 4 years of additional experience accepted in lieu of degree.
Job Qualifications:- Have expertise with Big Data and other sources of raw information to expose anomalies, indicators of compromise, and other similar issues for the ROC and War Rooms.
Proven experience as a Data Scientist or Data Analyst
Experience in data mining
Understanding of machine-learning and operations research
Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Java or C++ is an asset
Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop)
Analytical mind and business acumen
Strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
Problem-solving aptitude
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Clearance Requirement:
- Candidate must currently possess and be able to maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph
