SAIC is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer in San Diego, CA.
Operate as the primary POC for VLF efforts for multiple programs.
Provide domain expertise to advise the government on products, system architecture, and engineering support to ensure successful development and implementation across multiple platforms.
Coordinate with a team, management subordinate efforts, have some project management experience to support the technical, costs, and schedules for this program.
Specific responsibilities of the candidate will include:
VLF Waveform development
VLF Communication’s systems engineering and design
Experiences Expertise in the testing, configuration and documentation of hardware and networked systems
Participate in resolving technical issues and troubleshoot the system that may arise during integration, implementation and test
Provide technical direction, guidance and training to less experienced staff
Interface with management, customers and team regularly
Support the Management of task orders
Coordinate with multiple agencies, vendors, and customers
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; OR Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; OR PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
Active DOD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Must be able to obtain an IAT Level 1 certification within 6 months of hire
5 years of Systems Engineering experience
Some RF/VLF and Waveform experience
Excellent Communications Skills are imperative
Establish equipment configurations in support of operational requirements.
Strong background in system and hardware engineering support
Possess a strong problem solving skill and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Candidate must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Visio, Project, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Word).
