SAIC is seeking a junior to mid-level network administrator that is highly motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn. The candidate must be able to work alone on tasks, cohesively and productively with a team, and realize creative opportunities for modernizing network design.
The candidate shall have a general understanding of networking hardware such as routers, layer 2/ layer 3 switches, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, intrusion detection systems, and wireless access points in a network.
The candidate is required to have functional knowledge, exposure to, and application of routing protocols (EIGRP,OSPF,BGP,RIP), fundamental switching concepts, (VLANs, VLAN trunking protocol(VTP), Etherchannel, spanning tree protocol), VPN, DNS, DCHP, network cabling (copper, fiber, and termination of both), HAIPE, packet capturing, and logging.
The candidate should be familiar with Linux and Windows servers, virtualization technologies, and life cycle management with the ability to design and document network diagrams with Microsoft Visio.
