Position Summary

SAIC is seeking a Continual Improvement Transformation Leader / Scrum Master to join our account team supporting a major state & local government customer.  The CI Lead is an experienced Information Technology (IT) service manager with a background in driving service delivery capability enhancements with velocity.  The CI Lead will be a core member of the leadership team providing infrastructure services to a variety of geographically dispersed customers.  The CI Lead provides overall leadership, guidance and management for CSI transformation and establishing a culture of continual improvement within the organization.

 
  • Lead efforts to transform the Continual Improvement practice resulting in maximized velocity to value.
  • Lead efforts to realize organizational vision through rapid and iterative improvement outcomes.
  • Working with the program’s SAIC leadership team as well as customer stakeholders, enable operational excellence through establishing and nurturing a continual improvement culture.
  • Plan and maintain improvement approaches and methods used across the program and facilitate ongoing improvements throughout their lifecycles.
  • Generate and incorporate feedback on improvement implementation and results and assess effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
 

The CI Lead will serve as the key leader, administrator, coordinator, and methods expert for improvement strategy, capabilities, long range goals and objectives along with achievement of existing and emerging objectives for service performance, cost and schedule.  The CI Lead will frequently interact directly with customers, up to and including executive level staff, during meetings, direct interactions and through participation in IT governance activities.

 
 
Background / Experience

The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of experience with improvement frameworks including ITIL, Lean, Agile, SAFe program increment planning and scrum team management in a decentralized environment.  Demonstrated experience optimizing and improving service delivery capabilities through iterative capability enhancements at pace.  Experience with state & local government customers is strongly desired.

 

Experience with the management and integration of multiple suppliers, each with varying degrees of service delivery methods and maturity.

 

Demonstrated track record of working toward pre-determined long-range goals and objectives.  Assignments are often self-initiated.


Qualifications

Education / Certifications / Other

  • Bachelor’s and thirteen (13) years or more of related experience; Masters and eleven (11) years or more of related experience. May consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree. 
  • Strong skills with MS Office products and Microsoft SharePoint
  • Most have at least 5+ years experience leading projects 
  • ITIL 4 certification preferred (Foundation or above)
  • Experience with IT governance in an enterprise environment
