SAIC is seeking a Production Engineer Analyst to assist with Navy CPS production activities, with direct support to the Logistics Section Lead in Alexandria, VA.
Note: This position offers temporary work from home/ remote/ virtual work due to COVID-19. This position also has the potential for a permanent remote position with a preferred home of record location near Alexandria, VA.
The Production Engineer Analyst will support program production planning and execution, assisting with the development of processes spanning weapon system design monitoring and production supply chain monitoring for impacts. The Production Engineer Analyst will assist with oversight of CPS contractor production activities and assist in liaison with other military, government, and civilian organizations to establish and coordinate programs to meet Production requirements.
Review and advise on establishing production planning and control processes, and optimizing the overall effectiveness of the organization, methods, systems, and procedures.
Review and advise on building quality requirements into technical review criteria and program planning.
Review and advise on building producibility into and evaluating effectiveness of designs (tooling, facilities and products).
Review and advise on building quality characteristics into and evaluating effectiveness of quality systems used in the designs of products and services.
Assist in the evaluation of the prime contractor’s design for manufacturing readiness and producibility.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
Bachelors in Engineering and five (5) years or more experience; Masters in Engineering and three (3) years or more experience.
3 to 5 years work experience supporting DOD weapons system production (preferred).
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills.
Candidate must be a US Citizen.
DoD ACAT I, II, or III program experience
Experience with NAVSEA and Strategic Systems Programs
Experience with Navy Missile Weapon System Acquisition programs
Familiarity with the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution processes used by the DoD.
