Description

SAIC is seeking an Instructional System Designer to support our FAA program. The selected candidate will work with a team in preparing training curricula utilizing development applications to be delivered via computer based training, eLearning environments and learning management systems.

 

Conducts training analysis, designs and develops training curricula, designs and develop multimedia/web storyboards and training, and measures and evaluates effectiveness of training.

Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. 


Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. 


Frequent internal company and external contacts. Represents organization on specific projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Systems Design or a related discipline or have an advanced training certificate from a recognized training organization or an accredited college or university along with 3+  years or more of leading a team specializing in distance learning development.


Three (3) years or more of distance learning experience to include the application of Instructional Systems Design, execution of job task analyses, design and development of training curricula, course materials, assessments, training evaluation systems and instruments.

   

Experience applying FAA Safety and Technical Training (AJI) requirements to training projects is preferred.

         

Possess expert analytical, communication, and research skills, and a successful record of accomplishment of creating engaging course materials and assessments for both classroom and online instruction.

    

Possess expert proficiency using the ADDIE model and Kirkpatrick's approach to learning and training evaluation.

    

Possess expert proficiency applying Blooms Taxonomy to all aspects of the design phase.  

 

Possess intermediate or above proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.

      

Possess intermediate or above proficiency with Blackboard Learning Management System and Web conferencing products.


US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.


Position is on site in Virginia Beach, remote work may be considered.
