Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: Manages the implementation and operation of training in support of the Center for Surface Combat Systems (CSCS) training programs.  Includes instrution and technical training in support of Aegis Combat system, Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), Tactical Data Links, and other systems that can be used in the ships Combat Information Center (CIC). Supports the management of instructional activities across 22 sites, CONUS and OCONUS, as well as aboard Naval ships. Includes supporting an estimated 350+ instructors providing an estimated 700+ courses.  Instruction includes delivery of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training, as well as Curriculum development and maintenance of courses.  Includes multiple instructional delivery methods to include: classroom taught, computer based, and distributed training.  Includes managing training and curriculum development for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers as well.  CSCS program designs and administers training programs to train all levels of personnel.  Responsible for the development, testing, and maintenance of training curriculum to instruct customer personnel on the utilization of customer products or services.  Responsible for reviewing course content, training materials and documentation.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fifteen (15) years or more of related experience; Masters and thirteen (13) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.

Requires:
1. Seven (7) years of Surface Warfare and Training Management
2. Five (5) of the above 7 years includes experience in managing the development of group paced instructional materials and guidelines, advising SMEs on development procedures and formatting and evaluating curricula documents ad instructional delivery procedures
3.  Functional experience and knowledge of the Navy Plan, Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate (PADDIE) model as well as the Navy Systems Approach To Training.
