Job Description


SAIC is seeking a Program Manager.


Note: This role offers temporary work from home/ remote/ virtual work at home due to COVID-19.  Eventually the work will go back on site in San Diego, CA.


Job Duties:

  • Manage daily activities based on the goals of the organization

  • Work with the Government customer to develop and maintain budgets and plans for the program

  • Evaluate and assess the programs' strengths and weaknesses

  • Brief SAIC leadership and the Government customer on program cost, schedule, and performance

  • Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, quality, and team performance

  • Develop new ideas to support the strategic direction of SAIC and the Government customer

  • Evaluate program strengths and weaknesses and identify areas for improvement

  • Assist with program proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of support

  • Manage a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities

  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle

  • Coordinate tasks, track programmatic and technical issues, and support SAIC and customer meetings as required

  • Coordinate with SAIC and PMW 760 leadership, other government points of contact, program office leads, and other team members as they relate to the program

  • Identify and document project risks, issues, and opportunities in support of Risk Management

  • Develop, edit, and update program briefs and technical white papers, as required

  • Maintain and distribute the organizational charts

  • Coordinate and submit the Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)

  • Answer cost datacalls in regards to funded, expended, and EACs


Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Management  and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters n Engineering, Business Administration or Management in and eight (8) years or more experience 

  • Obtain PMP or equivalent certification within 6 months of hire

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance. 

  • 15 years of managerial experience

  • 5 years of this experience in direct program management support to an acquisition or integration program office (PEO/PMO)

  • Obtain PMP or equivalent certification within 6 months of hire

  • Written, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Expert level knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office suite products
