Job Description


SAIC is seeking an experienced seeking a Technical Writer Associate to support the update/creation of Navy Flight clearance products in California, MD.  The Editor will support a key NAVAIR Customer with challenging requirements within the Airworthiness and Cybersafe Directorate.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Experience in update and maintain NATOPS and NATIP flight manuals in XML format
  • Meet with government customers during reviews and working groups capturing changes/updates.
  • Audit materials for specification adherence and perform checks for anomalies and deviations
  • Reviewing format and layout of documentation to ensure accuracy of draft and final products for varied government
  • Migration of data from varied sources as provided into XML


  • Bachelor's and 0 years or more of related experience
  • 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.


  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.


  • The selected candidate will be a highly reliable, self-motivated, high performing individual capable of performing all tasks with minimal to no supervision.


  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%
