Description
The SharePoint Engineer is a key member of the Software
Engineering team in support of the Headquarters, U.S. Central Command J6
mission. The SharePoint Engineer is responsible for
- Server administration, operation and
maintenance of multiple SharePoint and Office Web Application Farms.
- Develop and maintain custom SharePoint
Master Pages.
- Develop and maintain custom SharePoint
workflows.
- Develop and maintain SharePoint Site
Collections.
- Elicit and analyze business processes and
requirements from technical and non-technical teams. Organize tasks and
estimate delivery times.
- Interact with customers throughout project
lifecycle, and serve as the technical and functional subject matter expert for
SharePoint solutions internally and externally.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Perform daily operations and maintenance
tasks, to include maintaining SharePoint server farms, servers, and sites.
- Troubleshoot issues, respond to service
desk ticket escalations, and document problems and solutions.
- Patching SharePoint Farms
Skills
and Knowledge Requirements
- Extensive knowledge and experience
deploying and administering SharePoint Farms (2016, 2019) including
administration, patching, troubleshooting, topology, services applications,
performance tuning, and migration required
- Experience with Microsoft Internet
Information Services (IIS) required
- Experience with server administration for
Windows Server (2012, 2016, 2019) required
- Experience with SQL Server administration
in support of SharePoint desired
- Experience managing servers and SharePoint
farms in a virtual environment
- Experience with SharePoint to cloud
migration and management is a plus
- Extensive experience with PowerShell
Scripts and managing SharePoint with PowerShell required
- Knowledge and understanding of PKI
Authentication
- Understanding of SharePoint Object Model
(CSOM, REST API) desired
- Experience with using C#, HTML 5, CSS,
CAML, XML, and JavaScript desired
- Application of software development
principles, concepts, and techniques including software design concepts, test methods,
and integration practices desired
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal
and written) with stakeholders to define system requirements
- Advanced knowledge and experience using
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, InfoPath, and Visio)
- Advanced knowledge and experience using
SharePoint Designer
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project Server
and Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- The ability to thrive in a fast paced and
highly demanding environment where each day provides a new set of challenges
under short time constraints involving complex network configuration and/or
troubleshooting requirements
- Must be able to work independently and at
the same time be willing work on a team in support of a common mission
- Knowledge of U.S. Department of Defense
security requirements, regulations, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
Required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of
experience; OR, High School equivalent and 13+ years of experience
- Must currently possess a Secret clearance
and be able to obtain a TS/SCI
- 5+ years of hands on experience as a
SharePoint Administrator
- CompTIA Security + CE certification
required for DoD 8570 compliance
