We are actively seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to collaborate with the SAIC Program Manager (PM), the Government Program Manager, and Contractor/Government technical experts to support execution goals and objectives for a large contract in support of a Mission customer. Your talents, perspectives, and efforts will contribute directly to the production of valuable intelligence to facilitate positive mission outcomes.

The DPM will directly contribute to program efforts in several areas including effective and efficient staffing, schedule estimation and tracking, subcontractor performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities. The DPM shall utilize expert verbal and written communication skills to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents.

This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist the Program Manager in the successful delivery of a program to a customer and/or manage performance of a task or project as part of a larger program under direction of the PM.
  • Manage risk, customer relationships, and program staffing. Ensure compliance with quality standards and escalate challenges to SAIC leadership.
  • Support business development and program staff management.
  • Provide input in planning, developing and implementing the program baseline.
  • Support the management of large size program staff that includes subcontractors or suppliers and task or project leads.
  • Use standard, well-defined processes, procedures, techniques, or tools that require program-specific modifications. Develops some program specific processes, procedures, techniques or tools.
  • Escalate and resolve moderate program issues.
  • Provide input to PM on program deliverables, performance reviews, compensation-related actions, and staffing and hiring recommendations.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI is required and willingness to sit for a CI poly
  • A minimum of ten years of project management experience managing complex projects
  • Experience in an IC, military, or other Government environment performing in a related subject area (e.g., project management, engineering, computer science, etc.) to that of the program.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph
  • A minimum of five years of experience managing projects utilizing non-traditional program management methodologies (e.g., Agile) in a big data environment.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • An active certification in at least one of the following:
    • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional or Program Management Professional.
    • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Program Management certification.
    • Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Manager (FAC P/PM) Level
