Description
SAIC is seeking an experienced Project Manager (PM) to join
SAIC’s team, in support of The Air Force Material Command (AFMC), Air Force
Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Air Traffic Control and Landing System
(ATCALSS) Sustainment Branch System Sustainment Manager at Tinker Air Force
Base, to help our Nation manage and sustain portable air traffic control and
landing systems. These systems are
crucial to the safe conduct of flight operations for home station and forward
deployed aircraft.
Individuals will lead a cross functional team consisting of engineers, Quality Assurance technicians, logistics specialists and functional experts to work with USAF technical and operational representatives to create a test schedule, solidify test objectives, incorporate human factor considerations, and carry out tests at the appropriate location and scale.
The Project Managers will lead the teams in executing the following test types / areas:
Manage and integrate activities in accordance with contract requirements, and ensure technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance
Define or contribute to the program baseline then execute the program to comply with baseline requirements
Manage risk, customer relationships, and project staffing
Ensure compliance with quality standards and escalate challenges to program and SAIC leadership
Support business development and program staff management
Maintain and manage the client interface at the project levels of the client organization
Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
Champion the integration of industry best practices and innovation to improve operational performance, availability, capacity and cost efficiency
Prepare and complete action plans, implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, while resolving problems and conducting project level audits
Identify trends, determine system improvements, and implement changes to maintain and improve mission readiness
Assist the Program Manager with transition efforts, including communications, recruiting efforts, and knowledge management
Qualifications
Experience working with the Air Force Customer, specifically the Air Force Material Command, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, or Air Traffic Control and Landing System Sustainment Branch
Expert level understanding and 10 years of experience in hardware and software component and sub-system testing
Experience performing supervisory functions, such as time approvals for charging, expense reports, travel plans, employee performance coaching/feedback, salary administration, and staffing functions
Experience developing and executing a Project Management Plan, including scope management, risk management, resource management, schedule management, and budget management/EVM
Experience in continual improvement with respect to maintenance processes
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years and or equivalent experience in ATCLAS/High Reliability Organization assignments
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and MS Project
