SAIC is seeking a Program Manager to support the US Space Force (USSF) Space Flag, Weapons School, Advanced Training Modeling and Simulation Environment effort. SPACE FLAG events are USSF exercises designed to advance our ability to plan and conduct space operations in a contested, degraded and operationally-limited environment. To facilitate this, the USSF employs a synthetic environment to support realistic, threat-based scenarios in tactical-level exercises emphasizing the protection and defense of space assets. Weapons School and Advanced Training events leverage the same construct.
In support of the government customer, the Program Manager is responsible for exceptional accomplishment of entire task performance to include meeting cost, schedule and technical requirements. Manages the integration of all project activities. Leads a multi-functional team of mission and training specialists; plus software, database, and modeling & simulation engineers providing and supporting the government in operating the exercise environment used to conduct exercise events.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of eighteen (18) years managing teams/projects providing integrated solutions for mission-critical applications with a Bachelor’s Degree (Technical Bachelor’s is preferred); or sixteen (16) years of experience with a Master’s Degree (Technical Master’s Degree is preferred).
Current Project Management Institute Project Management Professional® or Program Management Professional® Certification
Experience managing medium-sized Agile or SecDevOps projects, to include cost estimating and management, schedule development, performance monitoring and reporting
Demonstrated proficiency in communicating with customers to fully understand operational requirements; and in translating those requirements into project plans and performance measures
Familiarity with space operations in context of joint operations
Familiarity with modelling and simulation tools/environments used for training operators Education, Training and Certifications
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Eighteen years managing teams/projects providing integrated solutions for space missions, or training solutions for space or other DoD missions
Experience in space operations and joint operations
Knowledge of modelling and simulation tools/environments used for training and exercises of space, or other military domain, operations
Top Secret with current SCI eligibility
Must be able to attain Special Access Program (SAP)
