SAIC is seeking a Logistics Lead to oversee shipping, receiving, and inventory management services for our Tactical Networks (TACNET) Technical and Production Support Program in Norfolk, VA.



The successful candidate will support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) TACNET Deployment Integrated Product Team (IPT) in both sustainment and modernization of the United States Navy (USN) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems.



Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Manage inventory control: packaging, handling, storage, and transportation (PHS&T) of TACNET Deployment IPT material/assets from point of equipment origin to delivery to installation activity/shipyard

Collaborate with customers and other department leads to plan facility/lab material storage/staging utilization strategies

Direct and monitor daily operations of logistics and warehouse staff

Participate in employee hiring, periodic evaluation, performance coaching and improvement planning (as required), and professional development of logistics staff

Manage team schedules
Validate and approve time sheets
Work with project leadership to determine staffing needs, labor estimates, and forecasts

Coordinate with various departments, customers, and external stakeholders to ensure personnel, material, and equipment availability are scheduled to meet production and installation timelines

Establish and improve workflow, processes, quality assurance, and safety standards from existing and emergent customer requirements

Generate/manage various daily, weekly, and monthly status and inventory reports

Support customer and company data calls
Attend and participate in project meetings

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Required

US citizenship and Active SECRET Clearance

Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years or more of experience in defense life-cycle logistics support or ten (10) years or more of related experience in lieu of degree.

Two (2) years or more of warehouse management or supervisor experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated experience in customer service

Strong initiative, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

Ability to adapt in high-paced, dynamic work environment and manage shifting priorities

Forward-thinking and solutions-focused mindset

Experience with Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint


Desired

Experience with database accounting systems CMPro and NERP strongly preferred

Project+ or PMP certification

Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Logistics Level 1 certification

Experience with TACNET Program of Records (PORs) Consolidated Afloat Network Enterprise Systems (CANES) / Operation Rolling Tide (ORT), Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System-Maritime (CENTRIX-M), SCI Networks (SCI-N), Submarine Local Area Network (SubLAN) and Integrated Shipboard Network Systems (ISNS)

Experience reading technical drawing packages, schematics, and bill of materials
