Job Description


Occupational Health Nurse Maintains the Occupational Health Services to include: scheduling of patient consultations, assessing patient health needs, providing a variety of minor medical and first aid treatments, as well as maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and project reports. The OHN also focuses on the promotion and restoration of health, prevention of illness and injury, and protection from work related and environmental hazards.



-       Respond to medical emergencies immediately

-       Submit and track Medical Incident Reports

-       Support any interactions with site and municipal medical and emergency services during drills and actual emergencies

-       Manage and train the Site Medical Response/Mass Casualty Team in First Aid and Simple Triage and Rapid Treatment Methods

-       Provide and disperse over the counter drugs in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Standing Orders

-       Host and coordinate blood drives

-       Maintain Ergonomics, Wellness, and Blood Borne Exposure Control Programs

-       Administer influenza vaccine program

-       Administer vaccines for business related travel

-       Provide screening exams as required by Occupational Safety Heath Administration

-       Administer vision screening

-       Administer respiratory screening

-       Administer blood pressure screening

-       Administer hearing screening

-       Maintain mother’s nursing rooms

-       Host Annual Health Fair

-       Provide Cardiovascular Pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator and first aid training

-       Host health related seminars and or brown bag learning sessions

-       Coordinate annually written policies, SOPs, and Standing Orders on behalf of site GPOC and corporate Headquarters

-       Provide written, weekly activity reports to site GPOC for possible referral to corporate headquarters

-       Develop and maintain service/demand and performance metrics in coordination with site GPOC and corporate headquarters





·         This Intermediate position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and minimum of 6 years relevant experience or an Associate’s Degree and minimum of 8 years relevant experience, or years of experience in lieu of.

·         TS/SCI clearance and Poly required (or be able to obtain).

·         Strong interpersonal skills necessary to work collaboratively with multiple site and enterprise customers, stakeholders, and corporate headquarters managers

·         Oral and written communication skills sufficient to compose and deliver clear and concise medical records and reports

·         Critical thinking skills needed to analyze customer needs, work independently through completion of tasks, and make sound judgements under pressure

·         Knowledge in the use of MS Office and standard computer applications

·         Thorough knowledge of current industry trends in medical and nursing practice protocol and equipment standards

·         Active Healthcare Provider of Cardiovascular Pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External

·         Defibrillators Certification

·         Active certification as an Occupational Health Nurse

·         License to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) within Colorado

·         Active Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification

·         Active Hearing Conservationist Certification – may be required within 6 months of hiring depending on OSHA requirement at designated site

·         Active Spirometry Certification – may be required within 6 months of hiring depending on OSHA requirement at designated site

·         Current in annual Blood Borne Pathogen training


This job pays $85,000 to $95,000 based on experience and other factors.
