We are seeking an experienced Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic team working on a cutting edge program in support of national security objectives.
A successful candidate in this position will demonstrate an aptitude for system thinking, creative problem solving, and attention to detail. You will work closely with the ISSM and IT managers on all aspect of development and implementation as programs progress through Agile management processes. You will provide hand-on security and compliance guidance and work with SCRUM masters and their teams to maintain legacy systems while developing new systems and supporting transition to a cloud computing environment. As part of the team, you will be required to collaborate with others, as well as individually on strategies and recommended solutions. Demonstrated presentation and writing skills are required.
Required Skills and Experience:
Must have active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
Requires B.S. degree in technical field and 14+ years of relevant experience
Must have experience performing assessments of existing IT architecture for compliance with security requirements from applicable security frameworks (e.g., DSCID 6/3, ICD 503, etc.)
Must have experience developing input to IA A&A process activities and related documentation, including system concepts of operations, system security design, implementation plans, and operational procedures
Must have experience evaluating proposed security architectures and designs and provide input as to the adequacy of those security designs to meet required security compliance objectives
Must be self-motivated, responsible, organized, detail-oriented, quick learner, and a team player
Must be highly effective collaborator that thrives working with teams to solve complicated challenges
Must be self-driven, able to take ownership of tasks and champion efforts to drive solutions
Must have proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment, effectively and efficiently
Must have experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
