SAIC is seeking a Technical Writer in Hanahan, SC to support US SOCOM.
Writes and updates material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance.
Refines work of writers, and heads and coordinates activities of writers engaged in preparing technical, scientific, medical, or other material for publication in conjunction with or independent from manufacturing, research, and related activities.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or similar field and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one year of related experience
US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance.
5 years of experience with C5ISR electronics systems, to include: writing technical documentation, procedures and guidelines for C5ISR systems or equipment.
Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts.
Limited knowledge of industry practices and standards.
