SAIC is looking for an Electrical Engr Sr to support the Airborne electronic warfare department in Crane, IN.

 

Note: This position offers temporary work from home/ remote/ virtual work as part of a virtual team due to COVID-19.

 
 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 
  • Researches, designs, develops, modifies, evaluates and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.

  • Conducts experimental tests on equipment and evaluates results. Develops specifications for selecting components and equipment to use.

  • May also review vendors' abilities to support development.

  • Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field.

  • General knowledge of other related disciplines.

  • Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives.

  • Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.

  • Work is reviewed by management to measure whether objectives have been met.

  • PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent with organization objectives.

  • FREEDOM TO ACT: Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

JOB DUTIES:

 
  • Employee will work day to day with government POC's.

  • Support in the development, acquisition, and sustainment activities of complex systems used in Communications, Radar, and Electronic Warfare. Responsibilities will include the design and evaluation of up/down converters and amplifiers, MMICs, MDMs and TRMs used in receiver and transmitter systems.

  • Trace functional requirements to test requirements to ensure full test capability is met for Depot level test and repair process.

  • Conduct and develop Test and Evaluation plans for test stations and fielded test events for systems/subsystem manufacturing and fleet support.

  • Perform modeling and simulation of RF circuits and RF propagation.

  • Identify tasks, duration, and resulting schedule.

  • Monitor contractor engineering tasks and ensure timely completion.

  • Evaluate contractor Design and assess Risk for OFP, Diagnostic, MDL.

  • Coordination and assessment of Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRLs)

  • Test Planning, Procedures, Reports.

  • Contribute to Specification Development and confirm adequate flow of requirements and validation into the software design. Includes

    • Liaison for IDD development: NRL, SHEELD, SSA/HMI

    • Subordinate SDP, SRS, IDD, SVD, SUM, STP

  • Contribute to program protection engineering.

  • Coordination of EA/ES Simulations including RF Environment, Operator-in-the-Loop (OITL) Simulation, HW in-the-Loop, Weapon System Trainer (WST).

  • Coordinate and contribute Technical content of acquisition products.

  • ECPs, SOWs, and Proposal Evaluation.

  • Evaluate Trade Study results against goals.

  • Coordinate resolution of issues.

  • Respond to technical queries regarding Foreign Military Sales (FMS) initiatives, TTSARB and foreign disclosure staff Coordinate resolution to Legacy issues (FMS, Problem Alerts).

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

 
  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.

  • Required to have expert knowledge of setup and use of test equipment (i.e. Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Waveform Generator, and Signal Generator).

  • Must be able to develop and present technical reports.

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.

  • Candidate must be able to obtain a Full DOD Secret Security Clearance.
