SAIC is seeking a Cyber Training Manager to support efforts in Springfield, VA. Candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
- Manage the organization’s cyber information technology and
cybersecurity workforce on –the-job program ensuring compliance with training
and qualification requirements.
- Develops cyber related exercises to evaluate
the effectiveness of the organization’s cyber policies and procedures.
- Coordinates organization involvement in IC or
DOD cyber exercises.
- Develop or deliver cyber awareness products to general and
This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity
Workforce position in specialty area Oversight & Development – Education
& Training as outlined in SECNAV M-5239.2.
The selected candidate shall:
Develop a quarterly report of the qualification status
and continuous learning of the cyber IT and CS staff (military, civilian and
contractor). The format shall be
recommended for government approval. Delivery shall be the first of January,
April, Jul, and October each year.
Draft a manual, with government input, establishing a
Cyber training and exercise program consistent with NIST SP 800-84 and related
documents. The format shall be consistent with existing organization
instructions and manuals. Initial delivery shall be within 180 days of contract
award. Subsequent revisions as required by the government.
Draft one Cyber IT/CS related tabletop exercise
scenario and one system-level exercise scenario within one year of contract
award and annually thereafter for government approval. The format shall be recommended for

any cyber exercise conducted. The draft report shall be delivered within 30 days
of completion of the exercise. The
format shall be recommended for government approval.
Develop cyber awareness products for general and
privileged users based upon government requirements, best practices and
emerging technology. Delivery based upon government request.
Draft and/or preliminary documents shall be presented in one
of the following electronic formats; Microsoft Office version 2007 compatible
(.docx, .xlsx, or .pptx) or the standard Portable Document Format (PDF) format.
Final and/or approved format shall be determined by the government; may
recommend additional formats
BS Degree (4 years equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree)
Shall have 4 or more years’ experience managing a cyber-related
training program, including on –the-job training
Shall meet the minimum credential requirements for a
Journeyman proficiency level for specialty area Oversight & Development –
Education & Training as outlined in SECNAV -5239.2.
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly
- Strongly desired to have experience managing a Navy centric
- Experience in developing and presenting cybersecurity
- Experience in developing cybersecurity related products
- Experience collecting and reporting metrics associated with
- Experience in developing, conducting and evaluating cyber
exercises within the Intelligence Community or Department of Defense.
