Job Description


SAIC is looking for a Military Operations Senior with experience working with SLQ-32 Electronic Warfare systems to support the US Navy.


*This is a Remote/Virtual/Work from Home position with a preferred home of record in Virginia. This position requires up to 25% travel, most of the travel will be in and around the NOVA/DC area or Crane Naval Base in Indiana.



  • This is a senior level position requiring first-hand knowledge and experience with the SLQ-32 system both from a hardware and logistics/supply chain perspective.

  • A comprehensive knowledge of naval databases, respective data elements, and data connections between datasets is essential as well as identifying data inconsistencies.

  • Accessing, downloading, reviewing, and correcting/cleansing data is a daily task.

  • Mentoring others and working with the customer in all these various aspects of data analysis is another key item.



  • Experience with SLQ-32 EW systems (Technician/Maintenance) and extensive knowledge of naval databases and logistics data/supply chain. Some examples include; OARs database (2-kilo and Parts Usage data), CDMD-OA data, LPD data, APL data, SWMS and One Touch software, Technical Manuals, Engineering Drawings, PMS/MRCs, CASREPS, etc. 

  • Extensive knowledge of database field entries and data connections between different datasets.

  • Ability to obtain access to the OARs database and compose scripts with proper syntax to gather appropriate data for download.

  • Ability to detect data issues with 2-kilo and Parts Usage data and perform data cleansing.

  • Ability to understand and detect data issues with APL data.

  • Knowledge of proper syntax to gather appropriate data from CDMD-OA and content and format of data changes to push back to CDMD-OA.

  • Ability to detect data issues with CDMD-OA data and resolve through data cleansing.

  • Ability to assist customer with data acquisition, cleansing, and reporting.

  • Knowledge of the calculation and significance of the following performance metrics: MTBF, MTTR, MSRT, MADMDT, MOADT, and MLDT.

  • Ability to perform logistics investigations based on performance metrics and propose process improvements and potential solutions.

  • Ability to work with software development team on data modeling, data connections, and data visualization.



  • Bachelor’s degree and eight (8) years of relative experience working with SLQ-32 systems (preferred).

  • Self-starter, independent worker.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring junior personnel.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain a Full DOD Secret Security Clearance.
