This position will support an OPIR Joint customer Program Office responsible for acquiring the Overhead Persistence GEOINT Architecture (OPGA) that will provide the user community with OPIR capabilities in a modular, open architecture that provides global, persistent, real-time surveillance and activity based intelligence information. This position supports a hybrid Agile process with the Government as the overall integrator in a Cloud Environment. The successful applicant will provide SETA support as an Architecture Integration Engineer for a range of system engineering efforts and technical expertise, continuity of effort and value-added judgment to advise and assist the customer’s leadership and contract teams.
Provide design guidance across a range of system and application technologies, ensuring solutions are aligned with the enterprise architecture vision and met with technical standards
• Synchronizing and de-conflict inter-service/agency architectures
Develop expert knowledge of existing systems and facilitate creation of mechanisms to track current and future state architectures
Collaborate with operational / technical SMEs and Standards personnel to identify architecture gaps, overlaps and inefficiencies, and develop recommendations for changes to improve enterprise architecture.
Contribute to the definition of technology direction, standards and roadmaps across one or more technical domain.
Support customer’s transformation efforts to move information technology systems from traditional server based architecture to a cloud-based architecture though the development of Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) tools and practices.
Develop and maintain Enterprise Architecture artifacts across entire system utilizing architecture modeling tools.
Perform requirements traceability and coordinate requirement priorities to assist informed management decisions (budget, technical, and schedule)
Conduct analysis and evaluations- making recommendations and providing advice and assistance to include preparing criteria and analytical aids, briefings, reports and presentations
Attend design reviews and review requirements documentation for solution integration
Provide support to Program Managers from external agencies to ensure delivery of Program Office projects to stakeholders.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience
Must be a US Citizen with active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
Broad understanding of space and/or ground systems, hardware, software, operations, and their interdependence
Working knowledge of AGILE Scrum and SAFe software development methods
The ability to work proactively, independently, and/or as a member of a highly effective technical team while developing approaches
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and various SE, PM tools
