Description
SAIC is looking for an experienced Data Scientist to support NASA Langley Research Center’s Human Research Program (HRP), specifically the Space Radiation (SR) Modeling and Simulation Project. NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC) is located in Hampton, VA. SAIC is the prime contractor on the Langley IT Enhanced Services (LITES) II contract at NASA LaRC supporting this project.
Job Description:
Primary responsibilities include developing and improving techniques for applying how animal research results are translated to humans, using biological modeling to define pathways between animals and humans leading to understanding, linking existing knowledge to Space Radiation research, applying modeling and simulation techniques to discover/uncover previously unknown linkages like are the pathways for low dose rate tumors different from high dose rate tumors.
